With two open sides, Flex Double Sided fireplace insert creates the perfect room divider. The see-through design provides unobstructed views of the flickering flame from the front and the back, infusing warmth and ambiance into two adjacent rooms.
The clean lines and 'all flame' configuration of the Flex 104DB means the entire viewing area is dedicated to the eye-catching flame, creating a harmonious blend of traditional style and contemporary design.
One of the longest flames available in the Flex Series is created by using 2 of our ever-popular XL1200 Burners. With an overall heating capacity of 130m2 this appliance is best suited to large open spaces - think hotel lobby, large open plan restaurants.
Each burner holds 10L of fuel, and can deliver a stunning flame for up to 14 hours.

Bioethanol fuel is made of fermented plants like sugarcane or corn and is essentially a liquid alcohol. To safely make “de-natured” and unfit for consumption, substances have been added. The burning of these substances may cause a slight smell upon initial lighting and when the flame is extinguished – similar to when you blow out a candle. Clean burning and eco-friendly, ethanol fuel releases heat, carbon dioxide (the same stuff we exhale) and steam.
Are ethanol fireplace inserts difficult to install?
Unlike gas fireplaces or traditional wood burning fireplaces, our ethanol fireplace inserts require no venting, no gas line, no electricity - eliminating the need and cost of three sub contractors. They are simply mounted into the constructed main wall framework with the appropriate opening size for the fireplace insert selected. EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplace inserts are extremely flexible and can be incorporated at any stage of your interior decorating, renovating or building works. Bioethanol (also known as methylated spirits or simply ethanol) is a form of renewable energy. It’s a clear, colourless liquid that’s commonly made from fermenting the sugar and starch components of plant by-products like sugarcane and grain crops.
How much does it cost to maintain an ethanol fireplace?
EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces require little maintenance. It is important to keep the lid closed when not in use to keep debris out of the ethanol burner that can cause corrosion and damages. The 304 stainless steel tank is built to last a lifetime if proper cleaning procedures are done when needed.
How safe are bioethanol fireplaces?
EcoSmart Fire’s operating tools, procedures, and proprietary technologies were developed with safety as our top priority. Made from 304-grade stainless steel, EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplace burners go through a deep-draw fabrication process that eliminates the potential for dangerous leaks. Additionally, our patented filling point is separated from the ignition zone and engineered so that the jerry can spout is fully supported prior to releasing the fuel supply. This eliminates the usual splash and spills that would otherwise occur when fuel is decanted into the burner while simultaneously reinforcing the maximum fill line within the burner. How do I fill my ethanol fireplace?
With EcoSmart Fire’s proprietary tools and procedures, filling your ethanol fireplace with e-NRG bioethanol fuel is fast and easy.
Step 1: Remove the bottle nozzle cap and carefully insert into the filling point
Step 2: Push and hold the green button. The nozzle will automatically stop filling once the reservoir is full.
Step 3: Replace the nozzle cap.
