Designed for single room installation, the Right Corner Fireplace Insert features two open sides. The transparent glass on the right corner enables the flame to be viewed from the front and the right corner, providing interior designers, homeowners, architects and builders with the freedom to customise their fire solution to suit a floor plan.
The Flex 50RC.BXR comes with a Decorative Box on the right-hand side. The design is fitted with a glass panel that divides the box and the Firebox and creates an attractive streamlined look. Instantly transform any wall into a feature, indoors or out, with a stylish, clean-lined Flex Firebox.
The XL500 burner, the 'baby' of the XL Series, delivers a stunning, long-lasting linear flame. It may be compact in size, but with a 5L capacity, this ethanol burner can heat up to 40m2.
Efficiency is a key feature of this burner, delivering up to 13 hours of heat generating flame off a single refill.

Bioethanol (also known as methylated spirits or simply ethanol) is a form of renewable energy. It’s a clear, colourless liquid that’s commonly made from fermenting the sugar and starch components of plant by-products like sugarcane and grain crops.
Are ethanol fireplace inserts difficult to install?
Unlike gas fireplaces or traditional wood burning fireplaces, our ethanol fireplace inserts require no venting, no gas line, no electricity - eliminating the need and cost of three sub contractors. They are simply mounted into the constructed main wall framework with the appropriate opening size for the fireplace insert selected. EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplace inserts are extremely flexible and can be incorporated at any stage of your interior decorating, renovating or building works. What is the difference between gel and EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces?
There are key differences between gel fireplaces and ethanol fireplaces in terms of operation and performance. Gel fireplaces are operated by inserting and lighting tin cans filled with gel. The cans act as the burner mechanism. Gel fireplaces do not produce a long coherent flame as known from ethanol fireplaces and can be difficult to extinguish. EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces use a clean burning liquid fuel made with fermented plants. The fuel is housed in a ethanol burner that allows for safe and easy operation. Ethanol fireplaces produce a beautiful, vibrant dancing flame. Gel fuel should never be used within an ethanol fireplace.
What is a bioethanol fireplace?
A Bioethanol fireplace is an open fireplace that is fueled by bioethanol. A real flame is produced by the lighting of bioethanol, with a by-product being heat in the process. It is a fireplace that needs no flue for exhausting emissions, no utilities such as electricity or gas connection, and it uses a sustainable fuel source.
Can EcoSmart Fires be installed everywhere?
Almost everywhere! EcoSmart Fires cannot be installed into small rooms that are less than our minimum room size which is burner specific. For all other installations, you must comply with our compulsory clearances and installation instructions. Approval from building authorities may be required prior to installation in your area. Please make sure you contact appropriate parties before installing your EcoSmart Fire.
How much does it cost to maintain an ethanol fireplace?
EcoSmart Fire’s ethanol fireplaces require little maintenance. It is important to keep the lid closed when not in use to keep debris out of the ethanol burner that can cause corrosion and damages. The 304 stainless steel tank is built to last a lifetime if proper cleaning procedures are done when needed.
