XL700 Ethanol Burner
A key component of the Grate 36 and many of the Flex firebox inserts, the elongated, stainless steel XL700 ethanol burner has also provided design inspiration for a myriad of custom-made fires – both indoors and out.
Its sleek lines and minimal zero clearance creation ensure it’s a principal design tool, rather than an afterthought.
Easily integrated into bespoke settings – from specially-made cabinetry, media units, walls, floating timber to stone benches and pillars.
Diverse range of materials can be used in your bespoke fire – think concrete and hard timber benches, marble recesses, stacked stone walls, stainless steel – even metal barrels cut in half!
Purpose-designed baffle inserts allow you to regulate and further stabilise the flame.
No Harmful By-products
e-NRG bioethanol produces a beautiful orange flame from start to finish without producing by-products such as smoke, soot or ash.
Awarded the 2009 Hearth & Home Vesta Award (USA).
Standalone or Integrated
Easily installed as a standalone ethanol burner in tailored setting or in conjunction with a zero-clearance Flex Fireplace Insert.

It’s one of Perth’s newest restaurants – and it’s already making its name not just for the unique dining experience, but also for the vibrant and exotic interior. Hippo Creek African Grill in Subiaco is all about open fire cooking – wood-fired char grill – which harks back to nomadic hunter gatherers. And as part of the interior design, the South African restaurateur wanted an open fireplace which was in keeping with the theme of Hippo Creek.
