Why fuel type matters

e-NRG bioethanol is specifically formulated to produce a bright, vibrant flame in EcoSmart burners. Other bioethanol fuels vary in purity, alcohol concentration, and additives. These differences affect how the fuel burns — which means the flame may appear lower, dimmer, or less consistent than you would expect from an EcoSmart burner.

If you have been using a different fuel

If your burner has been running on a fuel other than e-NRG, the first step is to fully clean the burner before switching. Residue from a different fuel can continue to affect flame performance even after you change to e-NRG. Once the burner is thoroughly cleaned and you've refilled it with e-NRG, give it a full burn cycle before assessing the flame.

If the flame is still not where you'd expect it after switching fuels and cleaning, please contact our support team — we're happy to take a closer look.
