Step 1 — Empty the Burner
Ethanol can be safely disposed of down the drain — it's similar to household alcohol. Follow with plenty of water to flush the drain thoroughly.
Step 2 — Wash the Burner
Your burner is dishwasher safe, so you can run it through the dishwasher for a thorough clean. Alternatively, wash it by hand using warm water and mild dish soap, and rinse well.
Step 3 — Dry Completely
This step is essential. Any remaining moisture will dilute the fresh fuel and affect performance. Allow adequate time for the burner to dry fully — don't rush this step.
Step 4 — Refill and Light
Fill to the maximum fill line with fresh e-NRG bioethanol and light as normal. Your burner should now be operating without any noticeable odor.
If you've completed the full clean and the odor is still present after refilling with fresh e-NRG, please get in touch and our team will be happy to help.
